The railway station area in Hilversum is currently under heavy development. The intense mixture of functions within the existing urban fabric results in a complexity that is hard to comprehend for many of the involved. "We have contracted 3D capacity because we were in need of a good presentation of the plans and the vision of the railway station area in Hilversum", says Tijs Böhm, Project Leader at the municipality of Hilversum. "The railway station area is a continuous subject for discussion."

Vision

One of the problems is the communication of up to date plans and how they are related to the global vision. With the Virtual Scale Model we were able to deliver this perfectly. Not only did this help us during discussions and decision procedures in the city council, but also for convincing the local inhabitants."

Perspective

The ability to show different models allows us to outline the consequences on the surroundings with a few mouseclicks. The best of all is that you are free to choose any perspective while doing that. When inhabitants ask for the view on the project from their own balcony you are able to show this immediately.
